SVP XL TechGroup, R&D Director PetroAlgae
Tracy has senior executive responsibilities for evaluating new company opportunities for XL TechGroup. He is also currently acting as Director of R&D at PetroAlgae, with a particular focus on the first economically viable prototype system for the production of lipids from algae.
Tracy is a senior executive with a successful track record in P&L, engineering, and company management. He has over 30 years experience in private industry in both technical development and executive management, and has led several technical teams in the development of complex imaging and software systems. Tracy has worked with XL TechGroup's senior leadership team in various organizations for over 20 years. He was a co-founder of both XL Vision and XL TechGroup, and served as VP of the former's Advanced Development Group, the organization responsible for all engineering and prototype product development for spinout companies. In this position, he provided the technical direction for a number of start-up companies founded by XL Vision, including two that were successfully taken to a public offering.
In a previous career, Tracy served as the President and COO of Cycomm International, Inc., a multi-national developer of specialized portable computer systems for municipal police forces. He developed the corporate vision and directed all business operations including the acquisition of a Canada based manufacturing company to produce the products. Prior positions include VP of Engineering at two small technical companies offering products in the imaging and electronics field, and six years as Founder and President of a floral retail / wholesale company.
