

B.Sc. & M.Sc Forest Mensuration
Tom works on the front end of XL TechGroup's opportunity and new company selection process. He shares responsibility for the identification and definition of unmet business needs in addition to supporting the technical evaluation and risk assessment phases of the selection process. Tom has been at XL TechGroup since 2001 and has worked with key members of the team since the early 1970s.
He has over 40 years experience in applied mathematics and the development of algorithms and software for metric exploitation of imagery. His accomplishments include the development of the algorithms and their implementation for: the mapping of the Apollo lunar landing sites, the collection of geographic data necessary for the guidance of cruise missiles, real time video tracking of rocket sleds, real time tracking of human infant's eye movements, and control of an automated microscope for scanning slides for rare events. Tom has been a manager of numerous programs in addition to being XL TechGroup's IT manager for a number of years.
Tom has dual Masters and Bachelors of Science degrees in Forest Mensuration from Syracuse University and the State University of New York College of Environment and Forestry.
