Mitch joined XL TechGroup in August 2007 as a serial finance executive, and is initially focused on PetroAlgae where he has assumed the CFO position. As Vice President and CFO in previous companies, Mitch has grown businesses through the implementation of new technologies, organic growth through branding and rebranding, implementation of best practices and systems, and mergers and acquisitions.
Rapid returns to investors were then achieved through public listings and sales to strategic investors. Mitch's previous senior management roles include: CFO and VP Finance for TV3, a nationwide Russian broadcast television network, CFO for the initial privatization of Bulgaria Telecom, (the national telecommunications operator for Bulgaria), CFO and VP Finance, Administration and MIS, for SUN Interbrew (now SUN Inbev), one of the largest brewing groups in Eastern Europe which is listed on NYSE, and VP Finance for both Millicom (NASDAQ) and Metromedia International (AMEX) which operate mobile, fixed and data telephony, radio stations, cable systems and paging systems throughout Europe, Russia and Central Asia. Mitch initially practiced public accounting for ten years with Deloitte and regional firms in the Central Florida area, concentrating on high growth companies in audit, taxation and consulting.
Mitch is a Florida Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Business Manager. He has a BS in Accounting from the University of Florida.
