BA Political Science
Mike has been a part of the management team since 1996. His responsibilities include managing relationships with university and technology partners. Mike has participated in the formulation of the strategy for new venture development that is the core of XL TechGroup's success with disruptive new technologies.
Currently, Mike is leading the efforts within XL TechGroup to develop a portfolio of novel compounds and technologies that can enable new "functional foods" to convey a variety of health benefits to consumers.
Mike has functioned as early stage CEO for two healthcare technology ventures, and was part of the team that moved ChromaVision Medical Systems (now Clarient) to California and completed a successful IPO. Mike has served on Boards and Advisory Boards for start-up companies, and is experienced in assembling capable management teams and formulating strategic partnerships. Mike has also worked for a consulting firm specializing in manufacturing start-ups, and as a legislative aide in the U.S. House of Representatives.
Mike graduated in 1985 with a BA in Political Science from Otterbein College, Ohio.
