B.A. Economics
Currently based in the UK, Chris is responsible for managing XL TechGroup's relationships with institutional investors and analysts, as well as supervising the work of the Company's appointed financial PR agency. In addition, drawing on his extensive background in a number of emerging and other markets over almost 30 years, he is a senior advisor to XL TechGroup's executive team on a wide range of strategic, business development and other areas.
Chris has worked with the XL TechGroup senior management team since early 2005, first when he was Director of IR at Abchurch Communications and, since late 2006, on a direct basis. He has been an IR specialist since 1999 when he set up his own company, providing wide ranging advice to smaller sized companies based in the UK and elsewhere. Chris' first career, from 1979 to 1986, was with The Royal Bank of Canada, based in London, Ottawa, Montreal, Los Angeles and Hong Kong. His primary areas of focus were credit / risk analysis and control, although he also had roles in corporate banking and international lending. From 1986 until the start of his IR focused career, Chris was an emerging markets equity analyst at a small number of stock broking firms in both Hong Kong and London. He was regional or overall head of research in charge of teams of analysts covering markets that included South East Asia, India and Eastern Europe.
Chris has a B.A. in Economics from Simon Fraser University in Vancouver, Canada.
