Candy oversees all aspects of financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, and accounting operations for XL TechGroup, Inc. and its consolidated subsidiaries. Prior to joining XL TechGroup in January 2005, Candy was the VP Corporate Controller for DBM, Inc., a global firm with owned and affiliate operations in 43 countries.
Candy was responsible for all aspects of consolidated global reporting under GAAP and IFRS as well as domestic and international tax and compliance reporting. During her tenure at DBM, Candy led two significant and separate transition efforts. First, an acquisition of DBM by a US$7 billion global enterprise required the transition of all accounting operations and global financial reporting systems to the new parent company structure. Second, a subsequent divestiture of DBM to a foreign private equity firm required all financial, IT and administrative functions be established on a stand-alone basis for the first time in DBM's 30+ year history. Prior to 2001, Candy was the Controller for XL Vision, Inc., the predecessor to XL TechGroup, from 1997-2001, and for the 5 years before that she launched her career with KPMG Peat Marwick, LLP, where she performed assurance services for clients in varying industries and with SEC focus.
Candy received her CPA accreditation from the state of Maryland, and has a BA in Economics from the University of Maryland - Baltimore County, with specialization recognition in Accounting.
